I have a question in regards to this as well…Do I NEED to give my FI’s Parents and Mine Gifts although they aren’t contributing to our wedding (we are paying for everything ourselves)?

*My Dad’s business went under about a year ago and he had to file bankruptcy and my parents are divorced so I feel it would not be fair to ask my Mom for money although she makes $95k a year if my Dad can not contribute…therefore, we are not asking FI’s parent’s for money either and are paying for everything ourselves at 22 & 24 years old.*

I am giving the parents something, even if they didn’t contribute to the wedding because this is such a milestone for them as well. It would be nice for them to have something too.

This is what I got my fiance’s mother. I will be having one made for my “mom” as well. https://www.etsy.com/transaction/86038140
