We gave gifts from the two of us to each set of parents.

Sorry this is different than the last comment, so now you’ll be doubly confused…but I gave my parents something from me, and he didn’t give his dad a gift. But I made his dad and his grandmother boutonierres. You can make your own rules. 🙂 As for the gifts, I got my dad a pocket knife with “DAD” inscribed on it and I gave my mom a bouquet in a tussy mussy to carry and as a keepsake.

We got both parents picture frames (presumably for wedding photos once they were ready).  It’s a little boring/cliché but they seemed to like them.

I got my parents something and he got his parents something. We got them the same gift though, a wooden picture frame plaque thing from Etsy with a personalized message on it. My parents loved it.

I feel the gift should be from both of us.  We are planning on doing a nice frame with a note that we owe them a wedding picture and a gift certificate from a restaraunt they like.  Planning on spendign around $100 for each set of parents.

We’re getting frames, IOUs for a picture to go in them and wedding albums (through a photobook website, not the zillion-dollar ones from our photographer) for each set of parents. We’re also giving my parents a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant as a special thank you since they’re paying for the wedding. I’d really like to do more, since they’re being incredibly generous, but we just don’t have the funds ourselves. (Though if we really clean up at the wedding and have some cash afterwards, we’ll probably use some of it to treat them to a weekend trip or something!)

@ElbieKay

I like the picture frame idea, hadn’t really thought about that one! It’s memorable and functional 😀
