So we are having a hard time finding gifts for our parents. Neither me or my fiance are really gift givers, and while pictures would be ideal — we already gave them some of our engagement photos early on AND we plan on making them shutterfly books once our wedding photos are in.
What are some other good ideas for gifts we can give our parents at the rehearsal?
Are gifts even needed?
Help me out, ladies!

Texasbride3982: We are giving both sets of parents gifts. Some say that you only give gifts if they’ve contributed to the wedding financially, but we believe that without their contributions in so many different ways throughout our lives, we would not have the ability to pay for our wedding.
We gave my parents a gift certificate to their favourite hotel, where they are able to use it for the room reservation or for a meal, the spa etc. We bought his parents a set of lamps for their family room (that’s what his parents requested). Our parents are very different–my parents will go to movies, out to dinner, etc., while his parents are home-bodies, so we think the gifts are very fitting.
Maybe a gift certificate for an experience (e.g. wine tour, weekend getaway, lessons in their favourite pasttime, etc.) would be nice for them. Good luck!

A gift card for an experience is an ideal gift. I love it when we are given a voucher for theatre tickets and a gift card to a restaurant. You could book a night at a B&B for them to use on the date of their choice- a great anniversary perhaps.

We are giving our parents awesome plates from etsy. They are personalized and cab be a serving piece or a display piece.

Thanks everyone, these are very great ideas. I do like the giftcard route (yes, I’m a lamem giftcard giver)…but maybe perhaps with a note of encouragement and thanks for each parent.
