You should get presents for both your in laws and your parents, they gave you and your Fiance life and raised you after all, even if your in laws aren’t contributing. As for the gift from your in laws I would ask them for something more tangible that will last a long time, maybe something to help with renovations?

As for what you could get your in laws and parents, maybe a night out at their favourite restaurant, or even a night away somewhere nearby?

@Mrs2b2014:  That’s a good point, maybe an upgraded appliance that is nicer than one you have already, then you can take it with you?

@Mrs2b2014:  I think you could ask for them to cover the cake or alcohol, but it really depends on what they can spend.  Your fiance should have a better idea than you on their price range.  Alcohol could cost thousands of dollars.
