Use your photographs! I’m planning to either make them both a photo book/album of wedding pictures or choose a few pictures to enlarge and frame for them. You could make a scrapbook and completely personalize it. If you wanted to frame and your photographer charges a lot per print, see if you can get the rights to the digital copies and print it yourself. And I’m sure you could find supplies to embellish a frame.

I’m going to get the $25 gift cards to pictage where my photog is hosting the pictures so they can enlarge their favorites on quality paper.

Then either for the Holidays or Mother’s day.. I’m then going to get them photo books (probably the apple ones made in their Iphoto software). My engagement book costed around $40..

I had a hard time with this as well.  I decided last minute to give my parents a picture frame with the intention of putting a family photo from the wedding in it later.  But as a place holder I had my, now husband:), do a stick figure drawing of the family so they knew what would be going in it.  Little did i know that the stick figure drawing would be such a huge hit! Everyone at the rehearsal loved it and my parents are going to keep the stick figure drawing up and then also put up the real photo (which during our pictures we recreated this photo).  I thought I was giving them a lame cop-out gift but in the end it couldn’t have been better!

We bought our parents and grandparents personalize hankies from etsy.com. They were only like $25 for a set of 4. We thought they might need them at the wedding. 🙂

We’re also doing personalized hankies for pre-wedding gifts, and then doing brag books that we’ll make using Blurb for post-wedding gifts for our families.
