Hi, everyone–Are you giving any sort of gift to those who are doing readings for your ceremony, or to your ushers? I’m in the process of asking people, and it’s just occuring to me that maybe I should be giving them a small gift as a thank you on the day! I think it would probably be a nice gesture, but I’m kind of at a loss at what I would get them.

wvc412: Yes, we are getting those folks gifts as a thank you. We’ll have 2 ushers (who are shelling out money to rent tuxes) and one reader.
I haven’t decided what we’ll get them, but right now I have $25 a person budgeted (we’re spending $50 on each bridesmaid/groosman, plus I’m planning to do something special for my sister, who is Maid/Matron of Honor, and we’re keeping it at $20 or under for the flower girl/ring bearer).

We’re getting the ushers the same gifts as the groomsmen (not sure what yet tho lol). They’re paying the same amount for the tux and are pretty much doing the same thing. The reader is one of our high school teachers that does regular readings in the church so we just asked if we would do it for the wedding and he was happy to do so.
