We dont really have a theme for our wedding but most of the stuff i am diy i am really big on diy stuff!! For my bridesmaig gifts i thought about putting a gift bag together for them I have 4 a Matron of Honor (sister) Maid of Honor (best friend) 2 Bridesmaids (sister cousin). Anywho in this gift bag i want to get them a tumbler (pic below) they are about $12 i am getting the flower girl (niece) one too. Then i want to get them a cheap mens white buttun up with their enitials monogramed on there about $30 for 4, and then i am going to make them hangers for there dress maybe $15 for 4, and the last thing is i want to make them their glass for the reception (pics below) $10. Is this something you would like to get as a bridesmaid or should i get them something else more personal?

I vote something more personal, if I were your Bridesmaid or Best Man I wouldn’t use any of those things any other time but your wedding day. LOVE the monogram idea tho, can you do that with something else? Like a makeup bag?

You could always fill the cups up with little gifts or goodies that applies to each person individually. I think that would be sweet.

How bout a monogrammed compact mirror?

You have put alot of thought into it! Is the shirt for when they get their hair done? Thats a nice idea, I would go with womens shirts though with no monogram, maybe something cute and fun like a bright plaid or something. The hanger is really cute, I would love that, and I would like the tumbler too…but I wouldnt pay $12 each for them lol and I like the idea of a glass, just not those ones. Martha stewart makes etching paint, and stencils..I think doing it that way would be more classy.

I would prefer 1 nicer item over these 4, which I probably wouldn’t use again

Im giving my BMs their jewlery. One less thing they need to worry about. BUT I seen those diamond candles, and am so tempted to get those lol but they dont deliver to where I live. But the jewlery is more practical

@kjo i was going to do jewlery but they have suck diffrent taste i am going to let thme pick their own and shoes. I was doing the tumbler cups for when we get ready with our mimosa bar!!! Plus every Bridesmaid or Best Man is in my family and we use the cups for mixed drinks at every get together lol. I am going to do another kind of wine glass for the dinner each one loves wine and we have wine partys all the time so i am going to do a glass with their intial on it using vinyl. I am going to think about the shirt thing maybe ask them what they would like 🙂

I personally don’t like this idea just because they’ll never use these things again. I got my girls perfume, it probably ended up being about the same as what you spent, got them both different scents I knew were their taste, and that way they can use again. Experience being in a friend’s wedding in the past has taught me that by the end of the day you are really sick of that particular wedding and don’t want any reminders of it! lol

I probably wouldn’t use any of that stuff again. Like the PPs said, how about something more personal or at least something not wedding related.
