Keeping this active for you, as I’m curious to see what people suggest too! We’re still in debate over what to get for one another!

For me it will be more personal. Mr. Shef is a closet peot and a damn good one. As long as I have known him I have tried to convince him he is good enough to be published and that he should try. But, for him his poems are personal and he writes them for himself and, well, me. Over the years he has written a lot of love peoms for me and about me. So, in keeping with my idea of him being published and his feelings of how personal his poems are, I am going to get them printed into a book. Just one book. Just his. He loves it when I write him poems so I think I am going to write one for our wedding day and put that one in there too. It may only get looked at once or twice but it will mean a lot to him. I might even make a fun little book of pictures and maybe a story about his hedgehog… which he is obsessed with. he has this whole background and life story for this little guy as if he were a real man.

And I am not supposed to know this but Mr. Shef talks in his sleep… I am getting a puppy!!!!!!! (Sorry, just excited about that!)

I forgot to add that for the traditional cufflink gift I am going to be finding an etsy seller who will make me cufflinks with a QR code that take him to a website with either a simple message on it or teasers of me getting ready. He is a super geek and would get a huge kick out of that!

I already know what I want to get my guy-He’s always wanted a cool pocketwatch. I am getting him a silver pocket watch and I am going to have it engraved, “Yours, until the end of time” with our initials and wedding date on the back.

I’m getting my guy a family crest plaque. They have these marriage ones where you take the crest of the groom’s family and the crest of the bride’s family and put them side by side and then have the wedding date on it. We can then hang it in our home.

I really want to get him a bottle of Johnny Walker Blue Lable, but it is so expensive and we agreed to spend less than $100.I still might do it though. He would love it.

My gift is our cake topper.  It’s a custom piece of art that we can display after the wedding.  I think he’ll be really surprised.  I also think he has no idea that he should get me a present, so it will probably be my present too.  LOL.

PitBulLover: Those are fantastic! Is there a significance to the clover? Irish, luck? I LOVE them.

I did the cufflinks too, my fiance is a huge comic book/xmen/wolverine lover, here’s what they look like:

I got my husband a pair of customized shoes with a wraparound picture of us and our date on the back.  I really need to get a picture, because I feel like when I describe them, they seem really tacky.  Lots of great ideas here!  I don’t think there’s anything wrong with getting him a bottle of whiskey.  Neither of our gifts were used on the day.
