We haven’t received any gifts yet, but I remember a friend of mine telling me him and his wife got 3 microwaves!!

We had 4 that I can remember would qualify as interesting or odd to us.  But we truly appreciate and enjoy each and every gift.

His aunt gave us a gift set with French sea salt, a $50 salt keeper and mini spatulas.  None of which we registered for.

One couple gave us practical things, but a random collection: 1 small loaf pan, a 1 cup measuring cup and a chop n’ scoop.

One family gave us things we registered for, but again a random collection: a frisbee, a Pyrex set and a small cutting board.

A family friend couple gave us a big silver platter.  It’s very, very nice and super fancy, but it’s big and we don’t really know what to do with it right now.

Recently we received a small canvas tote bag from Lands End that is about the size of a lunch bag….we were like WTF

We also received a traveling bakeware set with a case that reminds me of a pizza delivery box – it is bright blue and the bakeware is blue with white polka dots

At our wedding we received a silver platter that is about 2.5 feet long with fleur de lis as the handles and it is really heavy – it takes up a huge part of our dining room table so we have since used it to hold the dog’s toys

@soonerpsych: kind of weird that we both received large silver platters!!

@PitBulLover: That’s hilarious about the platters!  I just laughed out loud so hard that you use it for dog toys!  We have ours stored on top of the kitchen cabinets.

@soonerpsych: Well we kept joking about what to use it for – we were like we can put a full size turkey in it for Thanksgiving or maybe a baby pig lol – but the most practical every day use is the dogs toys and the dog actually likes grabbing his toys out of it!

A stuffed gorilla.  In a gorgeous gift bag.  With no tag of who it was from.

You can not make this stuff up.

It’s two statues of a couple, after 30 years of marriage. yep, apparently me and my fiance are going to develop potbellies, and i’m going to have GG boobs in the year 2041.

I have no idea what to do with these things.
