When these questions come up people generally agree to buy something you buy them for their birthday.

There are several recent threads on bridesmaid gifts. A simple search can give you lots of threads and even more ideas

Jax2015:  are the bridesmaids getting hair/makeup done for your wedding? if its within your budget, either would be a great gift. i loved that for my friends wedding when i was a Bridesmaid or Best Man, so i’m giving them “hair” as part of the gift, and probably a piece of jewelry they’d wear for the wedding. what are they into – hobbies, etc?

here’s some other ideas..

– jewelry for the wedding. you can get really cute stuff at kohl’s (love the lauren conrad collection) and they usually have coupons

-mani/pedis the day before (or a gift card after, for them to pamper themselves)

– framed pictures of you & BM

– clutches or makeup bags

– a bottle of their favorite wine/liquor

and sappy, “thanks for being my bridesmaid, this is why i love you” cards are always!

Jax2015:  Great ideas from a PP, I gave my girls Vera Bradley cosmetic bags but you could do wristlets or totes or whatever shape would fit their personality/needs better. A wedding I was in gave us a small really nice perfume (Burberry) which was really nice! She gave all the bridesmaids different perfumes so that it was still personalized but the same gift. For the Groomsmen it depends on their personality, the majority of our guys don’t drink so we gave them swiss army knives, a guy on etsy puts engraved wood sides on them so we had their last names put on them and they were about $45.

I’m getting my girls Alex and Ani bracelets, and then a fairly cheap (but cute) necklace and earring set to match their dresses. For the guys we are getting them engraved cigar holders and a small set of cigars.

Try to get something that can be useful to people’s tastes and not your own. For example, I was a Bridesmaid or Best Man in a wedding where the bride has a shoe obsession. She got us wine bottle holders in the shape of a high heel. It’s totally her, but nothing I would ever display in my house, and it still sits in the box. It wasnt cheap, but it was a huge waste of her money. I’m going with the Alex and Ani bracelets because all my girls wear them (and hopefully still will next year).

Jax2015:  I agree with a previous poster that said to buy what you would for their birthdays. I too am struggling with the gift stuff. My budget is around $30, excluding makeup. I got everyone a small pocket mirror with funny sayings in the back side. And I got more personalized gifts for each girl.

Some items are wine glasses, yoga mat towel, magnetic cell phone holder, work out shirts, etc.

For the groomsmen, my Fiance is buying everyone Rainbow brand flip flops and a nifty keychain that organizes your keys so that you can hide them. It’s hard to explain but it’s similar to how you would fold up a pocket knife. It works for regular sized keys and not car keys.

I got my girls hoodies that say “Bridesmaid,” but you can personalize them to say whatever you want. My MOH’s actually says “H.B.” (long story, inside joke LOL). I got them at http://www.giftsforyounow.com. They offer some pretty good discounts, and participate in Ebates. I got them for about $25 each, plus getting 12.5% back through Ebates. I also plan on putting money towards their dresses as a gift.

I do not know what my Fiance is planning for his groomsmen.

Depends on what your girls like.

Bath stuff in a makeup bag tends to go over nice. Maybe nice candles. Bottle of wine and a glass maybe.

A tote bag is useful.

Tervis Tumblers are always a big hit and easy to get personalized to the girls’ tastes.
