If taping works, instead of duct tape, try getting some non-stretchy, breathable athletic/sports tape.

@Ivorybuttons:  That is a great idea! Like when someone sprains their ankle people use ace bandage! That would probably work! 

Another thing you could try is duct tape on top of a clothing item instead of directly on the skin. For example if you got spanx but used the duct tape over it for extra control.

@catrina13:right idea, but not ace bandage exactly: they don’t breathe and the glue is really irritating to skin.

Look for real athletic tape from a physio or athletic therapist. The kind that athletes use to stabilize joints day-in, day-out. It’s designed to be way better for your skin, plus it will offer firmer support.

I bought a Rago 21 open bottom girdle.  It is surprisingly comfortable.  Plus, Rago sells an extra long girdle that is 19 inches.  It looks stunning under my dress.
