I like Josephine.  Meh on Francesca.

I am neither of the love or meh contingent.

I think they are pretty names, just not names I would use for my kids. I think they are better than “meh” but if I loved it I would probably consider it as well, which I am not.

To some degree it also depends on you two as a couple, your lives, etc to determine which I would like better for your kid.

I’d lean towards Josephine if I had to pick between the two. I worked for a long time with a girl named Josephine, she went by Josie.

I like them both but can’t vote that way πŸ™‚ The only thing I’d be cautious about is nicknames – those names are both likely to get nicknames, so make sure you like all the possible nicknames! I work with a Francesca who goes by Frannie and I know a Josephine who goes by Josie. Both cute nicknames, but make sure you like them!

I love Josephine! It’s my friend’s daughter’s name and I call her Jo or Jojo. She’s too cute. (you should make multiple votes an option since you have 2 options for 2 names!)

@Sunshine09:  How do you get Finn from Josephine?  Are you going to pronounce it Josephin?

@Sunshine09:  Okay…but Finn doesn’t sound anything like any part of Josephine.  Jo or Josie is what naturally happens with that one, I’m pretty sure.  As someone whose nickname is nothing like her real name, I can tell you that it’s really annoying to tell people.
