@jholler25: I love Ava and Avery, but I do agree with some pp’s that they are pretty popular if you are trying to avoid too many girls with the same name. Like Readhedem, I am not a fan of names that start with Mc, they are too “last nam-ey” for my taste. But that’s just my opinion. If you love it, go with it! As for Lauren, are you totally opposed to naming your little girl the same thing as your sister? If you and your sister are close it could be a nice way to honor her and give a potential baby girl your favorite girl name. But it’s understandable if you feel that one Lauren in the family is enough…

Avery is my favorite an sounds great with your last name. Ava is my second. I agree get too far out there and it just seems you were trying to hard. I’ve only met one Avery an one Ava and it wasn’t until I was 24 imany thir year of law school that I met them!

I’ve never been a MacKenzie type of person. Growing up, MacKenzie was a HUGE name at home…EVERYONE was naming their baby that. I guess I’ve heard it too much?
However, I LOVE McKenna. It makes me think of an adorable little girl for some reason. Plus she could be nicknamed Kenna, which is also cute. It’s like two names in one!
