as long as you two are OK with it, anything works at all.

I think a watch is a good gift..every man needs a classic watch, IMO. And there’s nothing wrong with proposing to your boyfriend. Good luck!!

I joked with Darling Husband that if I proposed to him I would get him an engagement Jeep. If you think he will like a watch then go for it–but the cool thing is you can really do anything. My friend didn’t give her now-husband anything when she proposed but she did set up a romantic weekend–he loved it.

I got bf a ring–mine is being made but I am about to start carrying his with me so I can give him his when he gives me mine. 😀 It’s a 3mm titanium band. I was torn between that one and these other ones that were made to stack together so he could wear it with his wedding band but ultimately knew that he wouldn’t like that.
That said, I’ve heard that a nice watch is a common engagement gift for a guy. If you think he would like that better than a ring, go for that.

I’m planning (if my guy hasn’t proposed first) to do it on leap year day. I’m not getting him a real ring. My plan is to tie a string around his ring finger, like tying a string to remember something. And to tell him the string is so he doesn’t forget how much I love him and that I’d like to be with him for the rest of our lives. Then pop the question.
I think he’s probably going to propose this weekend though so…lol. My brilliant plan might not work.
I think a watch is a good idea too. I’d never thought of that.

I proposed to my Fiance with a band as well. I recently asked him if he would have preferred a watch and he actually said no. That was after he said he LOVES watches. lol

I’m actually thinking about proposing to my boyfriend as a surprise. I know he already has a ring for me… but I kind of want to knock his socks off and catch him off guard. I know the ring he wants, so I’m planning a sexy photoshoot where it’s a pinup session and in the photos I ask him to marry me. I’m planning on having a black veil (to sex it up) and sexy black lingerie with panties that say “Will you marry me” on them.. .then I will be holding his ring. Part of me wants a proposal bc that’s what every girl dreams of, but I want to prove to my man that I can be romantic too… what do you bees think??
