We love the name Lee-En-A. But we can’t figure out how to spell it.
Leighenna looks too long and complicate
Leanna looks like lee-ann-a, and we want the “en” sound and not for her to have to tell people how to say it.
Any ideas how we should spell it? Leena? Lienna? Or are we stuck with Leighenna?

I like the way Leighenna looks, but I would probably do it Lienna.

I like Leighenna actually. But I can see that it’s kind of cumbersome for a short name.

So you don’t think Leighenna is too long? The full name would be Leighenna Marie.
I think Lienna is our second top spelling. We’re not 100 percent sold on it though!

I think you’re likely to get the most accurate pronunciation from other people if you go with Lienna.
P.S. You should make a poll! You’ll get way more opinions that way!

@curlymama318: I think I got the poll added properly. I’ve never done one.

Sorry bout I hate the way leighhenna looks. Unless you’re from somewhere that the “gh” is a common silent sound? (don’t know what country you’re in) but I do like lienna.

I think it’s a cute name but I’m almost certain she’s going to have to tell people how to spell and say it her whole life.

@JaylaKay: No, it’s not too long. But I would be prepared for her to be known as “leigh” in school and amongst her friends and for lot’s of people to get confused and pronounce it “leigh-anna” and miss the E. That’s why I think Lienna works best.

I think many people would pronounce Leighenna as “Lee-Henna,” so I would probably avoid spelling it that way. Because of that, I think Lienna is the better of the two options. However, you still may have some people saying “Ly-enna,” “Lee-na,” or “Lyna” with that spelling.

@futuremrsk18: oh we’re fine with nicknames! Not a big deal to either of us!

@JaylaKay: I guess I’m in the minority here but I think Lienna doesn’t look like Lee-en-ah. It looks like Ly-enna to me. My sisters name is Leana and everyone pronounces it Lee-Anna which is right so I think the Leanna spelling should be out. I think Leena will end up Lee-na… I vote Leighena. I think ppl will get it right and it looks pretty… I don’t think it’s too long 🙂 it’s no longer than my favorite name, Charlotte.
