ah! love it! this is what we were going to originally do but then we realized that we dont have the resources to pull this off. this was going to be our menu:

BBQ Chicken, Corn on the Cobb, Potato Salad, Slaw, Baked Beans, Rolls with honeybutter, fresh fruit, vegetables, lemonade and iced tea (raspberry flavored is a good idea) 😀

Just curious-have you looked at your resources like ppl and supplies? Supplies was going to cost me a fortune so it actually was not too much more expensive for us to switch to catering. just a thought

Good  luck!

Canadian back bacon on the barbeque is sooooooo good and all the fat drips out!

Breakfast items that fit with a bbq… biscuits and gravy, chicken fried steak, country potatoes (not sure what they’re called in your area but they’re diced potatoes with chunks of onions and seasoning), biscuits and jam and fruit butters.

If it’s brunch . . . I’m thinking sausage on the grill, homefries with onions and peppers – maybe cooked on a skillet on top of the grill, fruit or meat cabobs would be easy and delicious.  I think a light salad would be great to include.  You definitely need bacon or something wrapped in bacon!

Lemonade – spiked or unspiked, orange jucie, mimosas, bloody mary’s, etc.

Oh and hush puppies!  Balls of fried dough with powdered sugar on top . . . perfect for brunch and totally fitting in a BBQ!

Two words.  Sausage Balls.  These are a universal hit.  And they can be frozen way ahead of time.  If you look them up online, you can find a recipe.  Generally its just some combination of breakfast sausage, bisquick, and cheese.  Yummy!

As far as beverages, have a wide variety of non-alcoholic options since many people don’t like to drink that early in the day. Lemonade and iced tea (sweet and unsweetened) are both bbq staples, coffee, hot cocoa, sodas, juices.

Hmm well in Texas we have BBQ breakfast tacos. Basically different meats with sauce in a torilla. The brisket is amazing. For more lunchy items, I’d say creamed corn, potato salad, beans, coleslaw, pickles and onions are always a must down here. Good luck. It’s gonna be delicious!

LOL thanks miss cake, you just made me crave bbq breakfast… check out smokey mo’s if you’re in the north austin area. it’s THE BEST!

I’d go with the breakfast wraps like she said, you can prep all the meats ahead of time, do brisket saussage, bbq turkey, etc. then do any sides you want
