I’m not a huge fan of games but one that always goes over well and requires very little prep is the “what’s in your bag/purse” game. You have a list that begins with common items like keys, lipstick, a mirror, etc and move on to more obscure items like safety pins, a receipt from the grocery store, etc. Once you no longer can produce that item, you’re out. Last person standing wins.

I hosted a bridal shower for my friend and all I can say is, elderflower cocktail with pear vodka is the only game you need 🙂

I am personally fond of bride bowling. Guests take turns pushing the bride into unsuspecting groups of guests and see how many she can knock over. Bonus points for spilled drinks.

ibtyen : One game that always goes over well is the “dont say _____” game. I dont know what its really called, but ive always played it at showers. At mine, everyone was given a flower lei and if you said “Wedding” or “Vegas” whoever called you out got your lei. The winner was whoever had the most leis.
My mom was so deceptive at this game it was hillarious.
Another game that went over really well was a hidden mickey game (i’m a disney girl). My host did an awesome job of hiding mickey shaped items just like at the park (in chalk board signs, with lemons in the water, on the ceiling etc.) and people surprisingly actually really got into it haha. There was 10 and most could only find 9 – it drove them crazy lol.

My sister constructed “bra-pong” for my shower. She glued a bunch of bras of various sizes to a large piece of cardboard and we took turns throwing a ping-pong ball in the cups. The winner got a box of bath bombs 😀 it was hilarious and different than some of the usual games.

for my cousins wedding my aunt organized the “your best recipe game” in which she gave everyone a piece of paper and the bride to be went through all of them and picked her top 2 (one from each side of the family) the cool part was formal page that could be made into a book.

I think my favorite bridal shower game is seeing how many people can plan showers without playing one. It makes my heart happy when that number keeps climbing.

My shower had no games as I hate them. Nobody missed them and we all got drunk in the garden sun on sparkling wine. Nobody said, damn I wish she’d played games

Why has WeddingBee decided to get its members to provide the material that will be published under someone else’s name?????? Can’t they find and write their own material?

ibtyen : my friends came up with a list of questions for my husband about our relationship, stuff like my favorite food, who my celebrity crush is, who the messier one is, etc. and video taped his answers and reaction ahead of time. They did the same for me, but i answered questions about him at the party, and people had cards with questions also guessing the answers. The winner got a prize that was either an Amazon or starbucks gift card (can’t remember). It was cool figuring out how well we knew each other. 🙂

This was actually from a hens, but there was only one game played and I really liked it.
The Maid/Matron of Honor had asked the husband-to-be a series of questions about the bride-to-be, about each other and their relationship. She then asked the bride the same questions. We had to all have a sip of our drink everytime she got one right. It was really cute and also gave us some more insight into their relationship which was nice.

I have to say, Tyson, that this is making several of us quite cross. When the site is so full of glitches that never seem to be addressed, and ads are multiple, these posts from mods asking for material for someone’s ‘articles’ is very annoying.
