@evalague: you usually go in through the ER doors (because most hospitals I know of close at a certain time) and they send you straight up to the maternity ward.  It’s kinda fun, since you have to take a ride in a wheelchair! LOL! 

Otherwise, if you’re scheduled to be induced, you go in the normal doors and take the elevator up!  Not sure if you’re sent from the dr’s office to the hospital, ’cause I didn’t have to deal with that! LOL!

@evalague:  You CAN wait, but if that baby is that close to coming out, you won’t!!  My friend went to the hospital a few weeks ago and waited two hours in the waiting room, then triage, then her room.  But she was not about to push the baby out when she was waiting.  🙂

I mean, maternity does their own triage..you won’t wait in the ER from what I know (work experience).
