- Wedding: January 2014
I am a clueless bride-to-be and I have a question on gift giving etiquette. After finally deciding the date of our wedding (1 year from now), I finally asked my closest friends to be my bridesmaids this weekend (all over the phone as they live out of state). They were wonderful and said yes. I wanted to send them a pre-wedding care package with 1) a pair of earrings (not necessarily to wear at the wedding), 2) a cute notebook and 3) a swatchbook for cocktail drinks for purposes of 1) looking pretty, 2) jotting down wedding notes and 3) dealing with any potential bridezilla moments, respectively.
When should I send this to them? My wedding will not be for another year and any planning that they would be involved with would not be for another 6 months or so. Should I wait a little while so it doesn’t get forgotten when wedding planning actually comes around? Or should I send it now while everyone is so excited? Any rules about this?
Thank you so much!
