We are flying to our wedding (TX), then to the honeymoon and then straight home(NM). I want to minimize the amount of crap we pack/ship, so I want to give my Fiance his wedding gift early.
It is a set of ice screws for lead ice climbing if anyone is curious. Not super romantic, but definitely desired.
I was thinking of making him his favorite breakfast and coffee and having them wrapped in a box a couple mornings before we leave for the wedding. Any other cute ideas? My hands are tied at the moment, so I want this to be simple, but special 🙂

Sounds like a sweet idea to me. I definitely wouldn’t want to try getting those past TSA while traveling either!

rockclimberbride : I thnk that’s a great idea, but I think you should maybe give him the heads up if he’s not usually an organised person. He may not have yours ready, then feel bad if he can’t reciprocate there and then.
Maybe plan a breakfast you can make together then open your gifts?

youngbrokebride : He recently booked a surprise stay in a really nice hotel with a couples massage in the spa the next morning. It wasn’t a wedding gift, but he gets a free pass 😉

rockclimberbride : Aww what a cutie! Yeah he definitely has a pass then 🙂

rockclimberbride : sounds practical to give him his gift early, also, a great excuse for breakfast in bed!

Either give him the gift early, or maybe find a way to wrap up a photo of the ice screws in a card if you want to give it to him on the day of the wedding?

misslucy : I did something similar to this and it went very well. Fiance and I travel to NY for Christmas, and I got him/us a shed. It was like he got the present twice, lol! (Once getting the photo, then again when it got delivered.
