Our daughters are going to be 20 and 12 when we get married and we are considering giving them rings to indicate the merging of our family (the girls and I) with him. Any thoughts on how to do this, wording ideas etc?

We will be doing something like this (with a necklace and locket).
I get so emotional when I think about it, so I haven’t really decided how we will be doing it.
I imagine we will have a little reading before and then will ask her to come up with us.

@tranquility: I was reading somewhere that a couple gave their daughters (one his, one hers) a charm bracelet and each one had a special charm indicating the wedding day and a charm that had “daughter” and one that had big/little sister. Every year on their anniversary, they are going to present each of the girls with a new charm for their bracelet. I thought that was so sweet!

When my Dad married by wicked ex-stepmother, they gave us necklaces with 2 baby rings on them, so pretty much 2 itty bitty plain bands on a long chain (me and my sisters got these). We were *thrilled* that they were so thoughtful to do something so nice for us, I mean who doesn’t want to wear a necklace symbolising the marriage of their Dad to the devil? :]
Was a cute idea though, if she’s hadn’t been the one to think it up LOL
