White House Black Market.

LOFT is crazy, recently bought a dress there and had to go down 2 sizes, the one that was my size was enourmous.

I am XS-Petite and I like shopping at Banana Republic, RW & Co., Express, Calvin Klein, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Topshop to name a few.  I work in a business casual setting too and like to wear nice girly tops with a cardigan or cute blazer over it.

ahe87:  LOVE WHBM. Totally second it. They can be a little pricey, but I have shirts from there I bought 3-4 years ago and still look brand new.

I’m too petite for White House Black Market clothes =/ so if Loft isn’t working for you, WHBM prob won’t either. Honestly, I end up wearing a lot of H&M clothes. Their size 2 typically fits me very well, and even though the clothes are inexpensive, I really find the quality to be fine after multiple washes.

Another vote for WHBM. I can’t really go on a shopping spree there but if you invest peice by peice, you’ll have a full wardrobe in a matter of years. In the mean time, find your filler peices at Target or Kohls 🙂

Express or The Limited are my main two for work clothes.

Zara and H&M. Their clothing tends to run smaller.

strawberrybee9:  Loft has really gone into size inflation!  NY&Co is too though so I wouldn’t go there.  I love J Crew and Lord & Taylor.  L&T is expensive full price, but they have really good deals and always have a lot in their clearance section.  If you have outlets near you, I’ve also had success at Michael Kors and WHBM; they have reasonably affordable clothes in their outlets.

ETA: I am a size 4 with DDs and the last time I bought a dress at NY and Company, I had to get an XS.

Banana Repulic, J Crew, Gap and The Limited is where the majority of my clothes came from.

I like Nordstrom Rack in addition to the other ones listed. I also have a few tops and pants from the Lauren Conrad line at Kohls.

The Limited is my favorite. Their clothes actually for true to size.

I am beyond fed up with Loft. It’s all cheap, oddly sized, and see the! I’d rather pay the same price for quality elsewhere.

for great basics that are high quality, check out everlane. they do run a little more expensive, but they are staples you can wear for a long time.  i love their silk shirts!

I like Express for work clothes. They wash really well and last forever.

Agree with you all about the Loft. The sizing is so inconsistant!
