I’d never force anything on my husband. He chose to use some whitening toothpaste in the months leading up to the wedding, and he took care of having his hair cut and being clean-shaven. But I wouldn’t “make” him do anything cosmetic. I love him how he is and I wanted him to look like himself for the wedding.

Plus, he’s the one with the tanner complexion in our relationship. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Haha!  That’s cute as long as he goes along with it, I’m sure it’s pretty common for brides to want to spruce up their groom for the big day.  My Fiance is already perfectly beautiful in every way so there’s no improving him, lol.  Me, on the other hand – self-tanner, manicure, pedicure, etc. – a definite must.

I’ll probably just make sure he cleans his nails.

@Braysmomma:  That sounds great!  Last weekend we went to the beach and my Fiance noticed that his new golf shirt sleeves were a little shorter than what he’s been wearing, so there was a white place on each arm.  He mentioned it and I was like, “Oh, I can fix that with self-tanner, hold on.”  And I put some on him and it worked great, of course.  He said, “I had no idea there was stuff like that.”  Haha!  Men are so cute sometimes.  I’m sure your Fiance is very happy that you care so much to help make him look perfect on your day!

My Fiance will never, ever tan or use whitening strips. He will never wax and he will never get a manicure. I prefer my men beastly and covered in dirt anyway, I am weird I know. But he is in construction and when he comes home dirty and smelling like dust…I have to jump him!

He knows how to clean up nicely though for special occassions, (like doing his hair, put on some cologne and cleaning his nails) so I am not worried about it.

I’m actually the one with the fair complexion in our relationship, so we didn’t have this issue. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hah! Fiance and I have it backwards. I’m not much of a girly-girl, and he’s… well, it’s not out of hand, but he’s aware of his physical appearance. Apparently he used to tan sometimes before I knew him and he’s been saying lately that he’s so pale it’s bugging him, and he keeps reminding me to use some teeth whitener (whatever it’s called, the kind you put in a tray) because I’ve been hitting the coffee pretty hard and it’s doing a number on my teeth. It’ll all work out in the end!

@Braysmomma:  as long as mine shaves his stubble on where a beard would be ( he cant grow facial hair lol I like it this way ๐Ÿ™‚ ) plus hes a red head so tanner would probably make im look strnage where he is so pale.  as long as he takes a shower and shows up im fine love him how he is ๐Ÿ™‚

No. I trust him to take care of himself.
