Wondered if anyone owns one of those curved glass range vent hoods. We’re contemplating getting one for our new build and I had some questions.
Is it hard to keep looking clean?
Do you have a backslash with it? If so where does the top of the backspash end?
I’d like the backspash to go all the way to the ceiling behind the hood, would you suggest going with almost full height cabinets around the hood to achieve that without putting tile everywhere?
Thanks, bees. I hope someone here has one and can shed some light on this.

@Mrs. Mustang: our tile goes up to the range hood but not above, I can post a full height picture later today

I’ve never seen one of those before so I can’t really help, but I just wanted to chime in and say I love the look! So sleek and modern!
I imagine you might notice grease buildup on it faster than an off-white one for instance, but it probably wouldn’t be that hard to clean- a few squirts of windex would do it.

I think grease would be hard to see unless you’re right up on it/looking at it from below. I think they are modern looking, but also very “IKEA” looking to me, if that makes sense. Modern, but not high end modern. I’m not sure why? I think it looks awkward with the more traditional looking cabinets in the posted picture, too.

Hmm. I’ve never seen one of these. I probably wouldn’t get one. Just because I hate smudged glass. Although, I own a glass bathroom scale. I think that unless you cook a lot, they’re a waste. That being said, I want one 🙂 I’d go traditional (and stainless steel) because I want something that won’t go out of style in 5 years.
