Im actually considering contacts for the first time just to walk down the aisle and enjoy the wedding without my glasses – I cant even go to a bar without my glasses; however, I dont plan on wearing them.

Im sure there are some really nice glasses out there!! You should get some with a little bling – he he how cute! I totally understand you want to feel comfortable – my glasses are purple and brown so really dont match my dress & ive been considering contacts for a while so this should be a perfect excuse for the switch and braving up to making the switch!

Any one have any ideas what is the cheapest place to go get a contact exam? Seriously sucks to pay for new contacts in the mist of wedding costs – but oh well.

I can’t see hardly anything without my glasses…I too put them on as soon as I wake up, and take them off right before bed.

However, I can’t decide if I should try contacts a few months before my wedding.  I too rarely see anyone getting married with glasses on.

Still deciding.

You could get a pair of rimless, wire frame Rx glasses for the wedding day and evenings out at

These are only $30.  The black part doesn’t show unless you have super super short hair.

Both myself & my Fiance will be wearing our spectacles for the big day. If we didn’t we wouldn’t be able to see the marriage license, let alone sign it!

Though, I am definitely springing for new specs [so is the FI] as mine are held together with electrical tape at the moment [no, not a fashion statment, just me being a miser] and his look like something ran them over… and over..

@ sjbee

I agree! mrs. spring roll looks adorable in her specs.

I love my glasses and when I’m wearing contacts I have sunglasses on b/c I feel odd without something on my face, but I’m a big time cry baby so glasses on my wedding day may make it harder for me to see.  Otherwise I think I would def have my glasses on!
