I wear glasses and will be getting contacts in the next few weeks for the wedding. I like how I look with glasses, but not for my wedding. Everybody is different though.

I wore my glasses! Really, I don’t feel or look like myself without them, and I hate it when people imply that anyone somehow looks less bridal or formal because of glasses (my eyesight is bad enough that contacts are not an option for me, so it’s kinda a hurtful implication.)

Any good photographer can handle glasses no problem. And I definitely would care more about what your Fiance thinks of your look than your mom =)

I am not sure what to do. I can see reasonably well without them (the idea of contacts grosses me out). My OH wants me not to wear them but I am worried I won’t look like ‘me’!

I wear glasses also but I didn’t want the glare of my glasses and reflections off of them to show up in my wedding pictures. I will be getting contacts just for the wediding and will resume wearing glasses after our wedding is over. I think some women can pull of brides in glasses but I am not sure that is me. I would much rather surprise people and not wear glasses! =)

I always wear contacts when having professional pics taken because I think my eyes and makeup stand out better!

Here’s a pic of my gorgeous friend that got married wearing her glasses tho in case you need some inspiration:

I will be wearing comtacts on wedding day. If you think you will want to wear contacts, you need to build up to them first. Your optimetrist will recommend you wear them only a few hours a day for a while, then build up more and more hours. It takes a while to get your eyes used to comtacts but if you go slow, you shouldn’t have problems.

    Reasons why I’ll wear contacts:

    1) I want my makeup and my eyes to stand out

    2) I don’t want frames on my face

    3) I don’t want reflections or glares to shine over my eyes and distort them

    4) I don’t want to have to goof around lifting them to wipe my eyes in case of tears

    5) I want to be able to hug my Fiance and be very close to him without his body pressing my glasses into my face, smudging my makeup, hurting my face.
