You don’t have my option on your poll, I have glasses but normally wear contacts and will be wearing contacts for my wedding. If you normally wear glasses then you should wear glasses for your wedding. You want to look like you.

I wear glasses/contacts about 50/50. Maybe glasses a little more? I generally wear glasses for “everyday”… work, running errands, whatever. I generally wear glasses whenever I meet friends or go out on weekends or if I have an important meeting. I wore contacts for my wedding. But– I think if you’re more comfortable in glasses there is no problem with wearing them!

I think the right pair of glasses looks awesome, so if you normally wear them go ahead and do it for your wedding.

I am a switcher – I wear glasses about 1/2 the time and contacts about 1/2 the time.  I plan to wear my contacts for the wedding, but may switch to glasses later on in the night (we’re staying where our reception is so it will be easy to do if my eyes get dry).

I think you need two more options:

I wear both glasses & contacts, and am wearing contacts on my wedding

I wear both glasses & cotacts, and am wearing glasses on my wedding.

b/c i’m quite 50/50. but I’m choosing to wear contacts for my wedding

I only wore glasses before my wedding.  I really wanted to try contacts, but I didn’t like the thought of touching my eyes.  I starting wearing contacts about 3 months before my wedding and never changed back!  I love contacts now!

I wore contacts for 10 years until my eyes suddenly couldn’t handle them anymore about 2 years ago.  I am still not over the fact that I’ll never be able to wear contacts on a regular basis again, and still don’t feel like myself with glasses, so I will be wearing contacts for the wedding.  I wore them for our engagement shoot as well and my eyes can handle it for one day.  I may end up in my glasses by the end of the night, but at least the bulk of the day and pictures will be contacts.

I wore only glasses before my wedding and about 6 weeks before my wedding I got contacts. I had never intended on wearing my glasses for my wedding. I would have gone without anything because my vision isnt that bad but I have a hard time making out faces and I wanted to see clearly on my wedding day. I never wear my glasses when Im going out (only driving and at work) so I dont feel like I look like me with them on. I think its fine when brides wear glasses though I do prefer the look without πŸ™‚

usually wear glasses.. I plan to switch to contacts at few days before the wedding so my eyes can adjust and I dont have to wear glasses.. I am worried about the glare from the camera, and they are leapord print, and I just frankly dont want to wear them on my wedding day!!

@organizedbride11: If you’ve never worn contacts before, I’d recommend trying them well ahead of your wedding…more than a few days.  It takes a while to get the hang of even getting them in, and then you have to work up to how long your eyes can handle them.  If you’ve already worn them, then just ignore me πŸ™‚

I wore my glasses on my wedding day.  I felt so much more comfortable than I would have in contacts and I looked like me.  I didn’t have any problems with glare and after seeing the pictures, I’m so glad I wore them!

i voted “i’ve seen brides wear glasse and i thought it was fine.”

i think you should do what you are most comfortable with.  don’t get contacts just for the wedding.  i think people who always wear glasses and then take them off look funny.  i’m so used to their glasses being part of their face that when they take it off, it looks like part of their face is missing.

I wear glasses all the time. Contacts weird me out. So I’ll be rocking some purple frames on my wedding day.
