And of course, I have the same dilemma as most glasses’d brides, should I or should I not wear my glasses on my wedding day? I wear contacts like, twice a month and glasses most other days because of sheer laziness. My main thing about wanting to wear contacts is that i don’t want my glasses fogging up or my makeup rubbing off on the bridge of my nose (it happens throughout the day). Also, I guess it’s important to note that our logo (that’s printed in a bunch of places on wedding items) is a silhouette of both my and my fiance’s glasses, ha.
So I’m holding my breath and having you fellow bees vote. I know some people look strange without their glasses when they normally wear glasses, so I’m also keeping that in mind. Also, my dress is tea-length and kind of dainty, so not sure if the thickness of the frames will even look nice. Eh, I go back and forth.
Option 1 and Option 2 (Option 3 is both)!

I wore my glasses all day but I never ever wear contacts. I say if you’re indecisive wear the contacts during the ceremony and glasses for the reception. You look great either way so you can get pictures with and without glasses.

I wear glasses all day everyday. Idont even have contacts. My vision isnt realy bad just astigmatism so it will give me headaches if I go super long. I will be going without glasses on the big day though and so will Fiance. for me bc I dont want the glare of flash on the glasses and for Fiance because of outdoor pics and he has transitions lenses. He doenst want to look like he is wearing sunglasses in half our pics lol. As the night goes on and we are at the reception he will prolly put his glasses on. I wont, because I just wont want them on when I am dancing etc.

I wear glasses all the time, no contacts (unless I’m in the Caribbean) so I wore glasses on the wedding day. But, i got some very thin silver half rimless ones that you couldn’t even see in some pics

I vote for both. That way you won’t have to worry about effects on make-up etc. during the ceremony when it really matters, but came be comfortable during the reception. I think the glasses would look great with a tea-length dress…sort of a cute retro look!

Thanks bees! I feel a lot more comfortable with my decision now. 🙂 For the record, I have mostly just astigmatism too, and squinting is not.. cute.

I like your glasses but I think since they are such a specific style (they don’t just blend in), contacts may be a better option to go with your dress, hair, and makeup.

I love my glasses and far prefer them over contacts…. but I wore contacts on my wedding day.
