I’m trying not to be fustrated but how many people failed the one hour glucose test? I did yesterday and frankly I eat really well, my weight is great and I work out. I have to go back and do the three hour test. So fustrated.
Did anyone have the same problem? My number was 140 and she wanted me to be under 130.

I did… and the 4 hour sucks big time! The sheer notion of making a PG woman drink disgusting koolaid and then not eat for 4 hours is asking for drama. Bring a friend or movies or something to distract you while you wait b/c 4 hrs is a long time when you’re starving! Fingers crossed that you’ll pass the 4hr w/ flying colors!

I know a ton of people fail the 1 hour then pass the longer test, so I plan on requesting that I skip the one hour and go straight to the 3 hour test, it is more definitive anyways!

My Mother-In-Law is a nurse at my OB office and she told me to stay away from all sugars (even natural sugars like in fruit and fruit juices) AND stay away from carbs for about 24 hours before the test in order to pass. This is going to be insanely hard for me because fruit is such a big part of my diet since I’ve been pregnant. She said she’s seen people who have a buttered bagel for breakfast and a slice or two of pizza for lunch fail their test bc of the carbs. According to her, they see many women who come through their office fail the test the first time through unless you’re really careful about carbs & sugars the day leading up to the test.
