Weird. I used Pritt Permanent roller glue on that exact combo and it worked like a charm

I use the Advanced Tape Glider by Scotch its Uh-mazing. http://www.amazon.com/Scotch-85-4-Inch-Advanced-Glider/dp/B00409NNYM

Try outlining the entire paper before sticking, just a few patches on the corner wont do. if that doesn’t work I’d switch to glue dots and put down 1 per 2 inches on the border. I’ve always found that the small disposable tape runners were not particularly good adhesives.

3M adhesive spray is the best!  DH saw me and my friends struggling with sticks and tapes so he got us this stuff.  He said he used it for lots of projects over the years.  We got a version that’s formulated for crafts and it works great.  The key is using it very lightly. A little goes a long way. The best part is that you can peel it off quickly if it’s not straight as it takes a second to set. It doesn’t distort the paper or ink either!

@MrsPom:  Did you every find a good adhesive? I ran into the same problem. I did 100 invitations last week and I just went back to check and they are all lifting. I was going to try the scotch brand, but I would like to see what you suggest. Thanks.
