Help me, Bees!
I need a totally, completely gluten-free wedding cake, and it’s turning out to be harder than I thought. There are bakeries in Toronto that do offer gluten-free cakes, but they aren’t made in a gluten-free kitchen, which means the potential for cross-contamination is huge. I have one place I’m calling back, because I don’t know if they actually do wedding cakes (but their kitchens are 100% gluten free) but otherwise I have no idea.
Has anyone in/around T.O had a gluten-free cake made in a gluten-free bakery? Help!!

She is amazing! She baked sample cupcakes for us (we aren’t having cupcakes, but it was a great way to test the flavours) and talked us through how she avoids cross-contaimination. They have a seperate gluten-free kitchen, and she is SO in the loop about how to be safe AND make something that tastes great.
They are located at Woodbine & Hwy 7, but as they don’t have a storefront bakery, you need to make an appointment beforehand. (If you decide to check her out, let her know I sent you – Cheryl & Jasen)

Oh – it’s also worth noting that Melanie is able to do gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, nut-free, Kosher…she’s very flexible.
