So I’ve been highlighting/dying my hair blonde since I was 14, and I’m almost 25 now. I recently dyed my hair a light/medium brown color, because I was getting really sick of the blonde. I am shocked, but I love it so much more than I thought I would! I love it so much more than when I had it blonde, and everyone has been commenting that it suits my complexion much better than the blonde hair.
So here’s my question: Should I keep it this color for the wedding? Or should I go back to blonde for the wedding (my wedding is next year) because that’s how my fiance met me? He prefers blonde hair, but he says he’s happy as long as I’m happy.
I feel most confident/beautiful with the brown hair over the blonde, which I think is important. I also feel like I’ll have this color for a very long time.
What would you do? Did anyone else here make a big hair change before the wedding and decided to keep it like that?
P.S.- My natural color is a light brown color with natural auburn highlights

My hair went super blond for my e-pics (on accident, my SIL was in beauty school and not really good with the chemicals at that point). I’ve since gone a bit darker – closer to what I usually am (a darker/dirty blond). My roots are really grown out at this point, and I’m debating if I should go back to the super blond for the wedding or go even darker (closer to my roots). I may just end up with whatever my SIL does. LOL. Either way, I’m not super concerned about it. How pale is your skin? I’ve noticed blond can look really good or way too washed out on really pale skin, but dark hair can do the same thing on some skin tones…

Do you have any pictures to show us? Its really hard to make a choice based on your description, but I pretty much always tell others to keep as close to your natural colour as possible.

Go with whichever color you feel most comfortable/ confident with.

I’d go with whatever hair color you intend to most often have over the course of the next 50+ years. You’ll want your wedding pictures to look like you, so if you’re planning on sticking with brown for the long haul, keep it. If you think this is just a fun experiment and see yourself going back to blonde eventually, you might want to rock blonde on your wedding day.
