Don’t worry about it.  Have fun! There will be people there bigger.  I’m a size 20 and I’ve been on lots of cruises. My freinds and I all dress up in formal evening gowns for the fancy nights and have a wonderful time.  People are staring because we are having so much fun!

You won’t feel out of place at all! I’m a size 14 and have been on several cruises. There will be people much skinnier… much heavier… much older… much younger… etc and no one will notice at all. Just try not to psych yourself out!! Cruises are an absolute blast 🙂

Cruise ship patrons come in all shapes, sizes, colors, and backgrounds. they are the same people you walk past in Target. No one will bat an eyelash. And if they do, then it’s their problem, not yours. Go have fun. Rum punch is the breakfast drink of champions….. not that I have any experience of anything. LOL

I’m plus size and we cruised for our Honeymoon just a few months ago. I assure you, it’ll be fine. Everyone will be having such a great time that no-one will care what anyone else looks like. I’m a bit too self conscious to walk around rocking a bathing suit but there were tons of beautiful plus size ladies showing off their goods and I don’t think anyone even batted an eye.

I don’t see why being plus sized would have anything to do with going on a cruise. You are who you are and eff anyone who doesn’t like it.

@Cheeks923:  I agree with@CaitMarae  you will see so many different types of people on a cruise, which is the fun and exciting part. But as long as you are comfortable with yourself (or even if you fake it til you make it), it’s really just important that you have fun and you won’t even think about twice about it.

I don’t know what size/weight you are, but my last cruise I weighed something like 300+ pounds and was a size 24 easily.  If people were pointing fingers or making fun of me or scared I was going to crush them, I sure didn’t notice!

And here’s one from the year before.  🙂  I love cruising!

I wouldn’t worry about it, 2 people I know just got back from a cruise and both of them are plus size. They had an awesome time.  No one is going to notice….

Fiance and I are both BBW (size 26) and we have never had an issue on any of our seven combined cruises–in fact we just booked a back-to-back for June. We don’t tend to do the bathing suit thing because we are not beach/pool people, but we do dress up in big ball gowns for formal night.

Just a word of advice–a lot of the ships have booth tables in the dining rooms and they are very tight in terms of space. You might want to check in with the maitre d’ to check on your dining assignments to make sure you are comfortable, because they are your seats for the whole cruise.

Have fun dont worry what everyone else thinks you paid your gosh darn money for it is what I think. We just went on a Disney cruise last year and I loved it. Even did a little booze cruise excursion at one of our stops. The Booze cruise included snorkling and a stop at a private island where I went out in just a bathing suit and a sarong.I was a size 24 at the time too.

I was one happy camper then too. My now husband pop the question just 2 days before at Disney World July4th after the fire works. So maybe that clouds any negative feelings or thoughts I had lol. But enjoy yourself there will be lots of other large people on the ship trust me and most of them were with us lol
