I got 3 girls and love this dress. The Bridesmaid or Best Man dress color sets the tone of blue that will guide the rest of the wedding. I want to keep it between Cobalt/sapphire or Navy. Depends on what’s mosy flattering. I also wanna try BK and AA.

try bridesmaids.com – i used them and it was much less expensive than anywhere else.

I found reasonable dresses at alexia: http://www.alexiadesigns.com/Bridesmaids/Alexia-Designs/Short-Pleated-Cocktail-length-Sweetheart–strapless-Style-4130/
They all are similar to that style. The fabric hangs great on everyone and the navy I went with is stunning!
Take your pickiest and most difficult to dress bridesmaids with you. I know the dress you picked is gorgeous- but I have kind of beefy/muscular arms and I wouldn’t feel comfortable with those little caps.

I have seen this dress in weddings…..
Very flattering on several body types……

My advice is don’t get your hopes up too high for David’s bridal bridesmaids dresses. I wasn’t impressed with their dresses at all. All of them seemed to be either promish or slutty. There was only one dress that we found even worth trying on their, which wasn’t the case anywhere else. Have you looked at Bill Levkoff dresses? They are pretty reasonably priced, have tons of styles, and look great. They are really popular- most bridal salons carry them.

I went to everywhere under the sun for my bridesmaids, and they absolutely hated the DB dresses (and fabric) so much that we left without trying anything on. AA had the dress that was most perfect for them! I also thought the quality of the AA dresses were heads and shoulders above the DB dresses. I suggest hitting up a bunch of different stores and don’t get hung up on one particular dress before-hand too much.
Good luck and have fun!

I had a couple girls try on that exact dress in the store and it just didn’t look like the picture does…. it was just NOT so flattering on! Then again, @californiabride2013: said she has seen them in weddings and they looked good! Worth it to try them on. Just don’t have your heart set on only this one in case. :/ It could be the straps… in the picture they are nice and almost off the shoulder, I think in real life they more easily sit on top of your shoulders like regular straps, and it pulls the rest of the dress in funny.
My girls got their navy blue dresses at Davids though! (obviously not the above style, but other kinds of short chiffon styles.) They were happy with them!

My suggestion….. offer a few dresses that the girls can choose from.
Not all dresses look on all body types (short, tall, thin, full figured, busty, small chested, etc)
I would choose a color, fabric and length (a dress can appear to be a different color based on material)….and then let the girls choose from there…..
I have seen David’s dresses, AA dresses and WW dresses….. in the end they are all about the same quality…. it really comes down to fit and alterations…..

Don’t go on a Saturday, it gets so crowded and hot and people just get flipping mean. We went on a Friday after work and it was just us in the store. All three of my girls just had to pick the same color (I found a few websites that had close enough shades) and they all wound up getting DB dresses.
eta: i had been in a friends wedding and we went to DB on a Saturday morning, half of us were hungover, we had to wait around for a consultant to help us, it got hot (it was March) and it was a freakin nightmare.

My girls haven’t actually tried on any dresses yet, but we did take a look at them while I was trying on wedding dresses.
They do have a pretty good selection, and it seems to change with each season. I would say they have some really cute dresses, and some not so cute dresses. Most of their reviews on their website seem to be pretty good, so I would suggest sifting through those.
[there was one dress I read about that all 5 dresses they bought fell apart DURING the wedding. yikes!]
