Hi bees – so my husband and I have been TTC for about 3 cycles total – almost 6 months, but due to circumstances beyond our control we haven’t been able to try for 3 of those 6 cycles.
So this month we did everything right, and I’ve been tracking my cycles for about 6 months as well. They’ve been a bit all over the place, but the last 3 have been exactly 27 days. I went off the pill almost a year ago.
ANYWAY – at 27 days this months, no period and I felt pretty out of sorts, and took a clearblue digital test, came back negative. I had a drs apt scheduled that day anyway, new GP, and told her about our TTC journey so far and told her I’d tested negative just hours before…she said the digital tests aren’t very sensitive, and if my cycle had been a bit longer histrically, I might not have waited long enough to test, so she had me do a quant HCG. THis was yesterday and I don’t expect the results til Monday.
Meanwhile I’m going CRAZY! I’m trying to convince myself not to pee on a stick again, and there is no sign whatsoever of my period. I’m on day 30 now. My longest cycle in the past year has been 32 days, and that was a hella wierd one where I had spotting for majority of my luteal phase and things were just strange.
Anyone have a story about an early negative Clearblue Digital? Give me some additional hope?

You need to try a First Response ASAP! I can’t believe they are making you wait until Monday!

Okay you’ve both made me feel better that i don’t have too much false hope. I do have a First Response test – unless my period shows up today I’ll do a test in the morning. Every minute feels like an hour!!

Digitals don’t turn positive until a bit later. Take a First Response tomorrow morning!

There was a thread recently where someone showed some cheapie tests that had a faint but there 2nd line and then she used a digi CB and said “not pregnant” I can’t seem to find it right this minute (sleepy time, but it might be in the Charters thread) but the digi isn’t very sensitive so as PP have said use a FRER!

I tested at 10dpo, got a SUPER faint but visible line on a FRER, also tested that day with a first response digi and it was negative. 2 days later the clear blue digi was positive. Good luck!

I have an update sooner than I thought!!!!!!! Dr called and told me the quant Bhcg came in @ 13! So a cautious positive – need to go back in tomorrow to see if levels have doubled. Totally completely surprised!!!!!!!!!! Trying not to get too excited until I know for sure tomorrow. But yay!!!!!
