I’m so excited to be going dress shopping Monday! I’m going with both of my FSIL’s. They are very honest and kind. We are going to David’s Bridal as soon as it opens so hopefully it will be less busy and we can get some good service. I’d love a designer gown but considering we are having an intimate beach Destination Wedding with only 20-30 people, I can’t justify the cost.
This is the dress I’ll be looking at
I think it will be a good choice for a beach wedding…bridal looking but not too formal or poufy.
I’m somewhat pear shaped (girl got some junk in the trunk) with a small bust (boo) so hopefully this dress will help emphasize my curves and give me the appearance of a little bit of cleavage.
Anyone have any tips for dress shopping? This will be my first time! Wish me luck and I’ll post pics on Monday

i think this is a beautiful dress and its great that you’ve got two nice people to help you 🙂 my only advice is to be open to all options and take advice from the bridal staff. more often than not the staff knew what would suit my body type etc which ended up being a great help! good luck and enjoy!

@rosh: Thank you. I feel like I’ve been looking at dresses FOREVER and it seem surreal that I’m actually going out to try them on Monday. I love this dress because it’s traditional and I know Fiance wants to see me in something traditional, but I keep swaying back and forth to something that may be a little more blingy and fabulous because our reception dinner will be in Atlantic City.

Yay! Just try on everything. That way you won’t have any regret or “what if” thoughts later.
Good luck and have fun!

@MapleMoose: LOL @ “Just try on everything”. I don’t think anyone will have to twist my arm!
