I think it sounds like you want a baby and will provide a loving home for it. Therefore I say go for it! No further thinking required :). For the record by brother is 10 years younger than me and we have a great relationship.

My sister has 3 girls, ages 16, 13, and 5.  It has worked out great for them!  The older girls obviously have a different bond – they grew up together.  But they both really help take care of the little one, and she ADORES them.  There is no one on earth as cool as her big sisters.  They actually have a really sweet relationship.

Isn’t having a baby always a selfish reason? Surely, with all the homeless little people in the world, arguments can be made that bringing more into the world is just selfish of the would-be parents.

OP, age gaps don’t matter. My mom had a “retirement baby,” at 40, who is 10-20 years younger than the rest of us, and she’s the best. Not once has anyone thought it was weird or selfish to have her. No one can imagine life without her here, regardless of her age. Her and I are SUPER close, as is she with our brothers.

If you YOU and your husband want a baby, and God blesses you with another little one, have that little one and love it to death! Good luck, and if you do have another, best wishes for a happy and healthy pregnancy and little one!
