how exciting!  don’t be nervous, there’s a perfect dress for everyone!  sorry i don’t have pics of me trying on dresses; the only store i went to wouldn’t let me take pics.  i fell in love with one of their dresses and bought it the next day.  Good luck!!!

I think a bride in love looks beautiful no matter what weight she is (not just saying that!!)

Are you planning on losing more weight before the wedding and are just a little disappointed you haven’t lost more at this point?

I was also really nervous – especially because being plus sized limited my options – but just keep going and don’t settle, there are a lot more stores out there. You’ll find it, I know it. (I just got mine this week – really!) ๐Ÿ™‚ ๐Ÿ™‚

I just went to a Maggie trunk show on Sunday.  Honestly, I was a little disappointed in the selection of anything over a size 10.  HOWEVER, I ended up being able to try on about 15 other gowns from various designers and ended up in the Allure 8766, which highlights every curve that I have. I was in love with the Maggie dresses and always thought I’d get one, but the Allure’s were a much better fit for me!

Don’t get too freaked out about the size you have to order.  I had to order my Allure 5 sizes bigger than my pants size.

@NYshoppingirl: Oh have fun! Just try and relax ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe have lunch, and a few glasses of wine before to relax! A bride is a beautiful thing regardless, and I hope you have a wonderful experience.
