@Sea_bass: Oh, I totally get the pregnancy hormones thing. I’m okay today but some days I’m definitely ready to burst into tears at the drop of a hat!

I bought a onesie that says Thankful for Mommy and then a shirt for me that says this is what I’m Thankful for printed low around the hips.  I was due Thanksgiving Day but now that has moved up a few days.  So not sure if I’ll still bring him home in that or save it for Turkey Day.

I’ve looked all over for something traditional looking and nicer than a cotton onesie but I haven’t had much luck and I’m thinking I’ll just give up on that idea.  Especially since he’ll be wrapped up in some outwear coat.

As a side note: My birth class instructor said to be careful about the dye they use on the cord.  That it stains the clothes.  So hate to spend a lot of money on something that might get ruined.

My son just wore a onesie home, same one he wore for his first pictures. It’s light blue and says “handsome” on it. (It was part of a Carters 4-pack from Target.) He was born in  August, it was quite hot.

I boguht a going-home outfits months ago when I saw something I loved on clearance at Gap Baby. It will be early January when we deliver, but we’re also in Jacksonville, FL, so it couldn’t get much colder than about 28 overnight and for all we know it could be 85 out.

My only concern is that this outfit is newborn and sometimes that’s too small. We’ll see!

We’re team green so we wanted an outfit that would work no matter our Littlefoot’s gender.

ETA: we also have warm, fuzzy booties for baby and regular socks for if it’s not that cold.

My mom gave me my going home outfit. If we have a girl, I want her to wear it πŸ™‚

@mrsSonthebeach: Oh my gosh! How cute!!

Also, thanks for the suggestions about the cord stump, ladies. I hadn’t even thought about that so I may need to reconsider and do a looser/less expensive outfit for our little one.

C came home in the same sweater, booties and hat that my mom brought myself and my brothers home in. It’s a white crochet set with green and yellow on it. I bought a pair of minty green pants and a white top with a big bow to go under it.

@Erika_Meep:  So adorable! Cutest outfit. I don’t even know if I am having a boy or a girl and I want to buy this just in case it’s a girl. πŸ™‚

This is my son right before we left the hospital! Nothing too special, but it was the end of August and extremely warm.
