sherryberry:  5 DPO would be way too early to have symptoms. Hope it caught, but even if it did, it’s unlikely to be related to anything you’re feeling right now. Good luck!

At 5 DPO, if the egg fertilized, it most likely hasnt even implanted yet (that usually happens around 7dpo) so on Monday at just 2dpo, it would pretty much be be impossible to have any real symptoms.  You’re going to drive yourself crazy symptom spotting.  Get a grip!! 🙂

I’m 11 DPO and super cranky. But then I keep feeling like it could just be PMS, and I’m usually so fast to test and get disappointed, that this month I’m trying to wait until I actually miss my period. It’s so frustrating! And I’ve been analyzing my symptoms like crazy too. I’m super sleepy (went to bed at like 8 last night, which is incredibly unusual for me), been going to the bathroom like crazy, but do those mean anything? I’m never sure!

So yeah, I’m going a little crazy. And my husband is out of town until Monday, which kind of makes me want to go ahead and test and kind of makes me want to wait. Ugh.

I’m firmly in the camp that our bodies KNOW when something is up. So whether or not it’s implanted, yes, I believe you can have “symptoms” at 5dpo. Hopefully they’re related to pregnancy, and not ovulation, AF, or whatever else! Too bad there’s no way to tell. Good luck!

jammer62:  It’s much more likely that our minds WANT to know. When it turns out to be false, we forget all about these feelings and how convinced we were, but when it finally turns out to be true “SEE, I KNEW IT, I FELT IT, MY BODY KNEW!!!” … There is nothing to feel at 5 or 7 DPO.

Daisy_Mae:  I definitely agree with it being mind over body. I think 5dpo is to early to feel anything and from my own research I thought implantation occurred later on.

sherryberry:  from personal experience (2 cycles trying, 1NTNP) , i think you need to find some way to make this a less stressful not all consuming experiencing. Dont live your life in 2 week periods, over analyzing every cramp, twinge, pull, and mood swing.  I don’t know what it is about this process that makes our mind and body start to play tricks on us.  You should try to have fun , enjoy time with just you and your hubby cuz there will come a day where that will change. I hope you get your BFP soon

The mind is a VERY powerful thing. I learned in school about patients who thought they were on cancer medication (was placebo) and actually lost their hair! I am sure it’s hard, but I would just try really hard not to think about it anymore and just focus on other things, which it seems like you’re planning to do! I hope it happens for you soon though. 🙂
