I am so sorry, I have asked like ten questions in two days… embarassing. This is my last pack of BCP before we swap to FAM to TTA (before we TTC a ways down the road). I have the four week pack of pills, with the last week being the placebo pills. So.. if this is my last cycle on BCP, do I have to take the placebo week? Or can I just stop the day after my last real pill? Do you think there are any pros/cons, like will it affect my ovulation afterwards or my body bounce-back time? Thanks, I just have no clue what I am doing haha

No need to take placebos. They are sugar pills and only serve to keep you in the routine of taking a pill every day. When I was on BCP I always tossed the week of placebos.

@future_mrs_s: I never take the placebos… ever. They are just there to make sure that you don’t get out of the habit of taking your pills. I would just finish the active pills and call it a day! Shouldn’t make a difference at all either way though 🙂

@future_mrs_s: I never take the placebo pills so you should be fine to finish the pack with your last active hormone pill.

I never take the placebo pills either. I would think you’d be fine to finish the pack with your last active hormone pill as PPs have said

Yay!!! That means only 9 more pills until I can be off BCP for good!! Still hoping that FAM works along with condoms.. paranoid. The hubs made me even more nervous that FAM isn’t going to work, but I think he just doesn’t understand it… boo. I told him though that I am not continuing BCP after this pack though, because my body HATES me for it and it’s my body so it is my decision. He doesn’t want me in pain anymore, but doesn’t fully trust FAM to work. Doubt I can convince him to read TCOYF.. poor guy has no time 🙁 Oh well.. hopefully we don’t get pregnant too soon haha he would not be a happy camper. (I would be but… that’s another story haha) Thanks everyone, glad to know I can stop my pack so soon!!
