My mood swings have gone from super horny and awesome to a damn honey badger. Oh and pretty much any commercial with sappy music makes me cry. I’m right there with ya.

You may lose you period for a while. I went off the pill and had none for 3 months my acne was terrible so I went back on it. (I wasn’t TTC)

The first time I went off the pill, I broke out something fierce along my jawline for months. I finally got fed up with it and went back onto the pill. This time, I figured I would just have to put up with it as we are ttc. However, this time, my skin has actually improved, even from it’s on the pill clearness. I rarely, if ever, get a zit and if I do, it’s tiny. Both times I was slightly more emotional, but nothing major. My periods were regular right away, and lighter and shorter.

I’m pretty sure I’ll never go back.

Gained weight, moody, broke out. Moodiness subsided after a few weeks.

MrsFairyBee:  +1

Gained weight, super moody, broke out everywhere.  That was 13 months ago and I am still feeling gross.  I can’t wait to go back on the pill! We are TTC though 🙁

i do have lighter periods though!

ETA: OP, maybe wait until after your wedding to go off the pill? I wouldn’t want you to experience this craziness before your wedding!

I just went off the beginning of May after 8 years on it, and I’m already 5 weeks pregnant (but we were TTC.) But before that, super bloated, swollen breasts, and moody… And that was before I was pregnant! As with most things, everyone reacts differently. Oh, I was also lucky enough to have my first cycle be 31 days so I seemed to cycle pretty quickly. Good luck, hopefully your symptoms will ease up and congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Same experience as those above. Gained weight (and it won’t go away!), swollen breasts, crampy. I was convinced I was pregnant for awhile there. I started feeling more normal about a month after going off.

I could have written your post lol. I went off the pill this past April after 10 years on it and my face has broken out like mad since then!  So annoying. I was moodier when I first went off it but that has regulated. My period was totally normal and on a 28 day cycle from the first month I went off the pill. If only I could get rid of the zits 🙁

I was nauseous for almost the entire first month I was off the pill!  After I got my first period, all of my symptoms went away and I felt normal again.  I hope you have the same experience of normalcy after the first cycle!

I’ve been off for just over 2 months now while getting ready to TTC next year.

A few more pimples than before..mainly along my hair line near my neck etc and a few on my chin. Nothing terrible though. No weight gain (but I really watch what I eat/work out everyday to try to lose/maintain my weight anyway), no mood swings as yet. First AF after the initial withdrawal bleed was lighter and painless compared to my previous AFs pre-pill which were horrendously heavy and painful. I’m hoping that never returns.

Oh man.  I went so crazy for a month my partner almost begged me to go back on the pill.  I remember driving to this lovely place to go for a walk by the river and I started crying hysterically and saying “I am sooo fat! I can’t walk because I am so so fat! And hideous! And why do you love me!!! What;s wrong with you!!” (Sob hysterical sob ).  Neck minute I am all like, “Hey babe, how was your day?”.  I went cray cray.  But it gets much better and I feel so much better overall off the pill.  I was on it for 14 years.

I had really sore breasts for the first 3 cycles and some seriously crazy dreams, which resulted in jacked up sleep.
