Not with Fiance, we have an 100% open policy. Either of us can look at the others anything anytime, but neither of us do, lol well as far as I know I guess. We both use each others phones/laptops/etc now and then.

With my past relationship I did snoop, he was very secretive and I found out it was because he was sketch. I found stuff, (girls, etc). I think it’s a red flag if someone’s acting weird about their passwords/phones/etc. For me it was anyway.

My husband and I share a computer and leave everything logged on at all times. We have full access to phones, email, facebook, everything. I have gone through his stuff a time or two but it was because I thought he was trying to surprise me with something and I absolutely hate surprises (yeah, I’m that girl)

He has never gone through my stuff, at least not to my knowledge, but he can look at anything he wants. Makes me no difference

I have no reason to, so no I don’t. But DH is THE MOST BORING texting/social media/ email person ever on planet earth. There’s literally nothing to see!

@MrsWBS:  Exactly this, all of it.

I have never snooped in my FI’s phone, e-mail, etc. I trust him and respect his privacy at the same time.

Well, wait, when we were first together, he got a new phone and gave me his old phone. When I was setting it up, there were a few text messages left over and I did read one of the threads. I couldn’t help it, it was right there! It was between him and a friend (a girl) and it was about me (positive stuff) so… 🙂 Since then, nope, nope.

Now, with my EX… major snoop. Major. Like, I could have been a private detective. I can’t even write how far I went to snoop on him because it would make me sound really crazy. It was ALL justified, though. Every single thing. He was not trustworthy and he was lying to me while he cheated repeatedly. Had I ignored my suspicions, who knows, I might still be in that relationship and how horrible would that be…ugh.

@BrideDJ:  So because your married, the things people tell your husband in confidence is your business to see simply because you have a ring on your finger? Sorry, but I completely disagree with this.  I would be pretty upset if I told my friend something and she immediately told her husband/he looked at our conversation in her phone and saw it.  Sorry, but my business I share with a friend is not my friends’ husbands business.

@keebee: Have I gone through his email and phone– yes. But it is when he is driving and he asks me to. I have no problem checking the time/weather on his phone and regularly look as he is typing, but I feel his email or texts are private. I trust him.

I don’t snoop on SO. He gave me his passwords to his phone, email, even his Facebook account shortly into our relationship.  I don’t use them because I don’t feel the need to.

Now prior relationships? That’s another story entirely, hell yeah I snooped but only if I felt in my gut that something was off.

@keebee:  My SO and I have the passwords to each others phones, computers, e-mail, facebook, pin number to his bank account, etc. I can honestly say I have never, ever gone through his stuff. It’s a matter of trust, and I trust him. If I didn’t trust him, I would probably not be with him.

I’m pretty sure he has never gone through my stuff either. We have read each other’s texts. But that’s a little different. It wasn’t done to be sneaky. We share most of our friends, and if my phone is sitting around and he’s next to it when I get a text, he’ll say something like C is texting you… and maybe read it out to me.

We have each others passwords and such but never really look at each others stuff. I sometimes get on his Facebook because one of his exes is a trainwreck that I enjoy watching but she’s blocked me even though we’ve never had any sort of contact with each other, so I can only see her stuff when I sign into his profile.
