I went for a solo trip to Europe a few months back and I decided to leave my engagement ring at home.  We might agree that Europe (or at least the countries that I went to) is not as dangerous as Colombia (although I’ve heard of notorious pickpockets in Rome and Spain), I just didn’t want to risk it.  I have a Tiffany somerset ring and that’s what I used instead of my e-ring.

Leave it at home, it will give you peace of mind.  Have fun on your trip! 🙂

I hate to be so negative but I would leave it at home and not even buy a fake one to wear. I also have heard of people having limbs cut off because someone wanted their jewelry (real or fake).  If you leave it at home, you can relax & not worry about that on your trip.  Have a wonderful time and stay safe 🙂

Stunt ring!  Just get a simple plain band that won’t call any attention.  Bare fingers get you noticed as much as bling, and more than once someone tried to pay bride price for me in Africa before I got a fake wedding ring!
