I went to jewlery stores both with him and without him.  It’s not weird at all!  I think it really helps you figure out what type of rings you like.

Have you thought about going ring shopping with him just to get ideas. I know you said he is traditional and wants to know what you like and then go get it himself so he can still do that but this way he has a much better understanding of what you want.

But coming from a bee who custom designer her own ring, you definetly need to try things on to see if you will really like them. I had all of these pictures of my dream ring and then as soon as I tried them on I went in a completely different direction.

Dude, this is the ONLY way to go.  If I hadn’t looked on my own I would have gotten a basic ring with a big diamond, which looks terrible on me.  But I had no idea!  Instead I found the most unique, beautiful, prefect ring that makes me smile every time I see it.  Don’t just go to Tiffany’s, go to a bunch of places.  And try on all different styles.

If you find a place you like, you can also leave your name and let them know which ones you like the best.  Then when he’s shopping, they can tell him and he’ll have a choice, or else can just look at them and be inspired by your actual taste, without you actually having to discuss the details prior to the proposal.

Have fun and good luck!!

Pff I’m married and I’d go into Tiffany’s to try on rings if I could. Do it. Just be careful not to fall in love!

Try again somewhere else! Or go again when someone else is working. Sheesh, don’t they know that you are potentially going to spend money there? I tried on rings by myself first and it definitely helped me tell Fiance what I liked Smile

After we first starting talking about getting married, I totally went in a looked at rings! I was curious what size of diamond would look good on my finger and what my ring size was. I think it’s a great idea!

Go somewhere else. My girls and I went ring testing a lot and I fell in love with my dream ring. Then I went and found a better cheaper version online 😀 ring shopping by yourself is FUN!!
