Your right! You rarely see too many yellow gold engagement rings. My Fiance figured he would have the hardest time finding a nice yellow gold ring but luckily I was able to give hime a little guidance ๐Ÿ˜‰

I’m not a fan of white gold. If I wanted a white metal I would probably go with platinum. Anyway, here’s mine: 18k yellow gold.

White gold is “gold.” But I agree with you that I also love yellow gold!

juneberries:  I got engaged ages ago (DH and I will be celebrating our 17th next month, and we were engaged for about 6 years before getting married). And back then, yellow gold was king. (or queen?) When we started looking at rings, I had no idea what I wanted with regard to stone size or setting size. The only thing I did know was that I wanted white gold (as platinum was out of our budget at that time). We could not find white gold anywhere! Keep in mind that this was before online shopping. We went to so many jewelry stores, only to be told the same thing each time: I was silly for wanting white gold because it was so old fashioned. And, even if it wasn’t silly of me, it didn’t matter because the store didn’t even bother carrying white gold at all. It was the only disappointing thing about the whole ERing experience for me.

Anyhow, I think it’s so much better now. With internet shopping and the way people feel so much more freedom to express their own personal tastes, it seems easier to find pretty much any metal one might want for an ERing. I think that is awesome.

Here is my gold ERing. It’s pictured with the YG band I got to pair with it, but the band is a more recent addition.

And this is my original wedding band. It is white gold in the middle (where the pattern is), although it pretty much always looks yellow. It is yellow gold on the inside of the band and the outside edges.

MarmotaLinda:  LOVE this picture of your ring! This angle really shows off the amazing cut on your amethyst.

Here’s my yellow gold e-ring with with my rose gold semi eternity wedding band. I had just gotten the band in the mail and wanted to see how they looked together ๐Ÿ™‚ I like the pairing! 20150918_161228

Here’s my yellow gold e-ring. I was drawn to yellow gold, because I think it looks better than white gold or platinum with my fair skin.

Lovely rings ladies! When I married years ago yellow gold was king as pp said. Then when we upgraded years later, yellow gold was wildly unpopular and I had to work hard to find a yellow gold set (I didn’t know about the custom route back then.)  We just upgraded again for an anniversary and once again I chose yellow gold. Not only do I love yellow gold, but I think it looks better with my complexion.

Here’s my set! I don’t get to wear my band yet, but I loooove yellow gold! I thought it suited my skin tone better, plus I love how classic it looks ๐Ÿ™‚

Boom! 14kt yellow gold! I love it. I honestly didn’t start wearing yellow gold until this year. I wore white/silver for the longest time, but I feel yellow just looks lovely on my skin ๐Ÿ™‚20150814_111854
