I’m having a dilemma! Or so I ‘think’ it is.
Our reception room is a beautiful victorian style ballroom built in the early 1900s. The room is mainly gold and cream in color. The chairs are a beautiful dark brown with gold accent.
Our wedding colors are navy, blush, and gray. Our decorator has a lot of really pretty silver vases and centerpieces. Will silver centerpieces clash with a gold cream and chairs that have gold on them? Btw, i dont want to do chair covers.
Am I being too picky or detail oriented??

In my opinion it classhes but you could save it by adding just a touch of gold to the vases. (like a hold ribbon around the vases)
gold and silver mixed looks fine but having solid silver will make it look disconnected from the room.

I don’t think it clashes at all. Mixed metals are very pretty, and silver can pick up lots of colors, so when the lights are dimmed, you may not even be able to tell.

I hope not! My venue has gold chairs and accents and we are doing silver centerpieces too. We’re going with beige linens to try to bridge the two colors 🙂

@SparkleBee11: I do like that idea…mixing gold in the centerpiece some how.
I think some of the dishes have gold in them. i dont want to be TOO matchy, but I want to take advantage of the rooms colors.

@CityBearBride: oooooo!! thats a good idea with the beige linens. We were thinking of navy tableclothes, but I think I like this idea.
