My e-ring is platinum and yellow gold.  I think my Fiance may get white gold and yellow gold.  He loses EVERYTHING and will likely lose his band at some point so I don’t think platinum is a wise option : )

My e-ring is white gold and my wedding band will be too.  His wedding band is going to be tungsten.  We weren’t too worried about our rings matching.

My wedding band and engagement ring are white gold. My husband originally looked at Mokume-gane (http://www.mokume-gane.com/) style rings, so we obviously were not interested in if the rings matched.  I wanted to make sure my husband got a ring he liked, was comfrotable and he would actually wear 🙂 He ultimately got a white gold band which was hammered.

No, we aren’t matching at all! We will each go with what we like best. My ring will probably be platinum & diamonds to match my engagement ring. My guess is that he will also go with platinum, but if he likes a different metal better, he’ll go with that!

@TennisSML5 – Tungsten is a white metal. It is very durable and hard to scratch. Because of this it is heavier and if it is scratched or outgrown it cannot be polished or resized.  It is very popular for people who work outdoors.  Some jewelers will offer a lifetime warranty on the tungsten rings though so if they do scratch or if your guy grows out of his ring they will simply replace the whole ring.  They are relatively cheap online too so I’ve actually considered buying a few of them so if he ruins one I can just pop another out for him.

There is another threat about mens rings on here.. a lot of talk about Tungsten including some pics:

Tungsten Rings for hubby?

Poll and a Question: HIS Ring..What is the metal and is there any bling?

As far as matching… our rings are all three white but they def do not match.  Mine kind of has a vintage feel and his is more modern.  He got one with the carbon fiber the pics are in the second post.

We’re not getting matching rings.  We have different tastes in jewelry, so if the plan is to wear the rings forever, then we better like them!   We do like white metals…that’s enough matching for us!  =)

My fiance hasn’t picked out his wedding ring yet, but I’ve already told him to pick out something he really likes; I really don’t care whether it matches mine or not. I think they  should reflect us rather than being a set. That being said, my ring is super simple, and I imagine he’ll want one similar, so who knows, they will probably end up being pretty close.

My ring is white gold and my fiance got his ring the same time he bought mine and his is titanium with carbon fiber.  Our rings don’t match, which is fine with me! But they still look good together.
