Oh my gosh that’s adorable. I love those colors – they are so versatile. I love the idea of yellow nurseries, especially because they make me think of a goofy story from when my parents got me home for the first time. They called the pediatrician in the middle of the night because they thought I was super jaundiced. The doc (a veteran pediatrician with like 10 kids of his own) tried to calm my dad down, and asked what color my skin looked. “Yellow!” What about her PJ’s? “Uh, yellow with pink spots.” What about the walls of her nursery? “Yellow… ohhhhhh” lol. Always makes me smile to think of my parents as freaked out newbies, just like we are about to be.

Revere pewter is also a great shade. I think its a nice warm grey. I have it in my living room. Google revere pewter nursery. I think that would look nice with gold!

Hahaha, that’s a cute story – I’m going to have to remember that in our bleary newborn days 🙂

beautifully done! I love light yellow. For our nursery walls we are going with light grey, white on the roof slants in the room and white on the ceiling. We are adding a light yellow dresser and end table, a twin bed with a coral colored quilt with beautiful embroidery, coral framed antique mirror, a white crib with accent sheets in multiple colors, a yellow lamp, and a grey glider. I think it will be heavenly in our nursery. The carpet is new and very dark grey, but the room is fairly spacious at 18 ft. by 16 ft.

It’s funny because we started out thinking mint until we walked into a house with an overload of mint walls and now DH and I can’t look at that color ever again! haha.
I’m loving how versatile the greys are. Light yellows and greens are nice too, but not our cup of tea.
I am starting to love the elephant theme too. It’s super cute. I did see these wall pops and accessories in blush, gold and white which would be perfect for grey walls is we have a baby girl! I’m starting to get so excited 🙂
How early did you ladies start decorating the nursery?
