Traditionally the first anniversary gift is paper. Modern is clocks.

Do you have a good picture of the two of them? Or something meaningful to them? You could get it printed on canvas.

Get them a share in a company that has meaning to them.

Do you know if they have a framed copy of their wedding invitation? It’s something really sweet and significant that a lot of people plan on doing, but sort of run out of time or forget about.

since first anniversary is paper, maybe some tickets to a comedy or theater show/concert?
